Model ETB634 with Thayer Valve. They are branded as "Eastman by Shires." I find them to be well-built. For me, the 6th partial is very sharp. Otherwise, I like the horn a lot. It's my daily driver for wind ensemble work. Interchangeable leadpipes that use Shires threads. FYI, I purchased the second one for our daughter, a very fine trombone player herself. She played it a couple of times, but never could get over the intonation differences from her daily drivers, King 3BF Silversonic and 3B+F, and now a duo gravis. ( (She has *very* discriminating ears and her muscle memory is geared to her King trombones.) --Andy in OKC ?On 6/28/21, 8:13 AM, "Trombone-l on behalf of DF Cramer via Trombone-l" wrote: Does anyone have any experience with the Eastman Shires trombones? This is the straight horn with no attachments. Is there any interest here in a horn like this? I was anticipating selling it on eBay but thought I'd check a couple places first. Well built except one of the attachment mounts came unsoldered. It was an Eastman by Shires ETB34 Thayer with the gold bell. Played quite well. I didn't like the weight (the reason I sold it). The Thayer is quite heavy.
