[Trombone-l] Brass Quintet Performance Commissioning Consortium

It has been suggested that I compose a composition for brass quintet at 
a professional level through a performance commissioning consortium 
where participants guarantee at least one performance of the new work 
instead of money exchanging hands. The composition will be composed for 
2 trumpets, Horn, trombone, and bass trombone. The bass trombone part 
will be adapted if necessary so that it could be played on tuba, for 
those quintets with a tuba instead of bass trombone. The composition 
will be called *Lexicon II* and will have four movements: Ballyhoo, 
Clandestine, Eerie, and Amok. The idea behind the Lexicon series of 
compositions is to have the music describe the definition of the
