I actually have been doing nearly all of my practice, since I retired from the Louisville Orchestra, on euphonium. After each surgery I started again immediately, and had no trouble at all. Further confession, and don't judge me for this , but since my spine injury several years ago from falling down the stairs, I have a nice big recliner in which I can sit comfortably, way back, and play euphonium.
