Hello all Greetings from Rod Herbert Sydney Australia
I need to get a very special mouthpiece replated now totally pitted no plate left at all and greenish brass.
I have a wonderful customised bach 1 half mouthpiece that was bored out and modified by my Sydney Conservatorium Trombone Professor Arthur Hubbard in 1991. Art was a a metal worker with precision lathe equipment.
It is my workhorse mouthpiece that i use for everything
Please give me advice on replating and i think i need it to be smoothed and polished back removing pitting before it would be plated.
I need to send it down to melbourne australia as none of the repair technicians do mouthpieces in Sydney
Who is good in the states and is it a worthwhile proposition sending a mouthpiece over to be fixed.
Looking forward to your advice
