The Rounders, a hilarious comedy from 1965, is playing on Turner Classic
Movies this Thursday at 2:45 p.m. There are some great bass trb solos in
the score (written by Jeff Alexander) that can only have been played by he
immortal George Roberts. I remember one, near the end, which has a fine
faked low B natural, obviously played by the man who preferred a single
valve.
