[Trombone-l] Your first trombone?

My first instrument in 5th grade (ca 1962) was a 20ish year old "retired" professional trumpet that my father obtained from a local pro. Oh, you said trombone... That would be a school Besson 6H. When I was talked into bass trombone, I bought a King Symphony Bass from another local pro. He needed it back, so he traded it for a 1961 Olds Recording w/F, and a King 2B slide. I still have it, although she's retired. When the Duo Gravis came out, I got (supposedly) one of the first 10 prototypes that were given to music stores to sell. I still have that one, although she's also retired. So, as I can't afford an M & W, I'll stick to my Bach 50A3...

Beater Bundy as a store rental. But after one year my parents rewarded me with a brand new King 3BF. I still have it after all these years, but now our daughter plays it. (Along with every other horn I own including my Duo Gravis. 😉)
