[Trombone-l] Beginner Trombones

I have not been around beginner instruments for about 10 years, and have
been out of the teaching field for the last 5.

My son wants to play trombone in beginning band this year.

What are good but not overly expensive beginner brands, and the best place
to purchase.

I have done some looking online and was surprised at how high the prices
seem to be for beginner quality instruments.
