Wish I could catch this - am actually in the area now. Heading back north tomorrow, and Calgary's annual trombone event is on the 23rd. Glad to know that we're not the only ones that are a little late this year. Have a great event!

Hey Listers in the  Tampa - St Pete Area.

A couple of weeks late for ITW but a great day for trombones anyway.

The Tampa Bay Trombone Fest will be held at the Palm Harbor United
Methodist Church - Palm Harbor, FL beginning at 8:00 AM April 22, 2017.

Four Master Classes Led by;

Dr John Marcellus Eastman School of Music( Emeritus) "Principles of Musical
Performance"

Tom Brantly- University of South Florida "A singing approach to Jazz
Improvisation:

Jamie Warren Brevard (NC) College '  A Structured Approach to Developing a
Jazz Trombone Routine"

DR. Chris Sharp - Lynchburg College - "Arranging for Trombones and Lesser
Brass Instruments"

A Large Instrument  display by Husonics Musical Instruments

And winding up at 5:00 with performances by:

       USF Trombone Choir
       Blue Ridge Bones {Brevard, NC)
       USF Jazz Trombone Ensembles
       Bones South (Host Ensemble)
and the Trombone Fest Mass Choir

The venue is Palm Harbor United Methodist Church
1551 Belcher  Road -Palm Harbor

The performance is free.

 For participation in the Festival  the fee is $40.00. For more info
